I had lunch at Arbutus last week, which is about my 5th visit to Anthony Demetre’s restaurant. It is based in Soho, just off Soho Square. This time I ate the grilled rib of grass-fed beef (28 day aged) with gratin dauphinois and red wine sauce £23. I can thoroughly recommend it. They also do wine by the glass which is the same price as by the bottle. They do a great lunch menu, priced at a bargain £16.95 for three courses. They are very happy to deal with GF and the wait staff confirm and reconfirm albeit very discreetly during the meal, so it is great if you need somewhere for a business lunch and don’t want to make too much of a fuss. The interior is white, modern, but warm due I think to the lovely floor boards.

I have also eaten at the sister restaurant Wild Honey which has a slightly more relaxed feel. They were also more than happy to serve GF.

I’ll try to include my own pics of dishes from here on out.

Very nice though

Being one of the people who regularly eats out with this blogger and who has to listen to her furtive whispers to restaurant staff regarding gluten free food, I think this blog is genius!

Gluten gripes replaced by dalliances with digital!
