Battersea Rickshaw

Last night, after a weekend away in Bristol, I wasn’t much in the mood for cooking. As a great lover of Indian cuisine, I decided that curry was desperately needed. The BF and I are very fond of Battersea Rickshaw in Battersea Square. In the summer you can eat outside and there is a little bar on the street for music and drinks before or after. The food though is the real star. It is northern indian and very spicy but delicious. We often change our order everything works, I love the spinach and hot lamb from shanks.

Delivery is around £25 for two mains, two sides, rice and pappadoms. This served the BF and I for both dinner and lunch. Eating in is around £20 per head including wine.

The location is a real highlight, if you are looking for somewhere to go on date night, this place is ideal. They are totally celiac aware, so no worries there at all either. I recommend a night out with some vino, friends and take advantage of these warm spring nights but sitting outside and listening to the music from next door.
